Instructions
Semaglutide Dosing Instructions:
Your semaglutide/B12 medication should come with dosing instructions. In the event that you do not receive instructions, you may use the following as a guide assuming that you are using diabetic syringes for your injections.
For a 100U syringe, every 10U mark on the syringe is equivalent to 0.1mL. Thus, if you need to inject 0.1mL, fill the syringe to 10U. If you need to inject 0.2mL, fill the syringe to 20U, etc.
If your dosing is written in mg and not mL on your prescription, please use the following for dosing:
If you have a 1mg/0.5mL semaglutide/B12 vial
For a 0.2mg semaglutide dose (starting dose):
Inject 0.2mL, which is equivalent to 20U on the diabetic 100U syringe.
For 0.5mg dose of semaglutide:
Inject 0.5mL, which is equivalent to 50U on the diabetic 100U syringe.
If you have a 5mg/0.5mL semaglutide/B12 vial
For 0.5mg dose of semaglutide:
Inject 0.1mL, which is equivalent to 10U on the diabetic 100U syringe.
For a 1mg semaglutide dose:
Inject 0.2mL, which is equivalent to 20U on the diabetic 100U syringe.
For a 2mg semaglutide dose:
Inject 0.4mL, which is equivalent to 40U on the diabetic 100U syringe.
Tirzepatide Dosing Instructions:
Your tirzepatide/B3 medication should come with dosing instructions.
If you have a 8mg/2mL tirzepatide/B3 vial
For a 2mg tirzepatide dose (starting dose):
Inject 0.2mL, which is equivalent to 20U on the diabetic 100U syringe.
For 5mg dose of tirzepatide:
Inject 0.6mL, which is equivalent to 60U on the diabetic 100U syringe
If you have a 17mg/2mL tirzepatide/B3 vial
For 5mg dose of tirzepatide:
Inject 0.3mL, which is equivalent to 30U on the diabetic 100U syringe.
For 7.5mg dose of tirzepatide:
Inject 0.5mL, which is equivalent to 50U on the diabetic 100U syringe.

Assemble supplies
You will need your medication vial, one diabetic (orange capped syringes) syringe, and 2 alcohol swabs.
Diabetic syringes and alcohol swabs can be purchased at Amazon, Walmart, Target, Tractor Supply, Walgreens, etc. Prescriptions are not needed for these supplies. Here are a few links for purchasing supplies online:

Wash hands & draw up the medication
For injections:
1. When opening a new vial, remove the metal piece on top. Wipe the rubber stopper with an alcohol swab to sterilize it. If you are reusing a vial that was opened previously, wipe the rubber stopper with an alcohol swab to sterilize it.
2. Remove both orange caps from the diabetic syringe, including the orange cap over the syringe plunger and the orange cap over the needle.
3. Place the needle into the center of the rubber stopper on the bottle. Turn the bottle with the needle inserted upside down, Make sure the tip of the needle in is the liquid.
4. Pull the syringe plunger back until the syringe is filled with the appropriate amount of medication needed for your dose.
5. Pull the needle out of the bottle.
Prepare injection site & inject
1. Take an alcohol swab and wipe the skin of the area you would like to inject, normally a spot on the stomach, using a circular motion. Let the area air dry. Inject the needle into the spot and push the plunger of the syringe down to inject the medication. Remove the needle from the area and dispose of the syringe and needle.
2. Place the vial of medication back into your refrigerator for storage. The medication must be stored at 4 degrees Celsius (refrigerated).
